BusinessBuckets.

Nine short parts about a client’s business. Each one hands back a real document on how it runs and how it markets. No AI. A person wrote every rule.

A framework by Ian Courtright. Built by Style Driven.

  • Know a client’s business before the kickoff.
  • Walk in with the questions nobody else asked.
  • Hand the client a file with your name on it.

We email you when it opens. Nothing else, unless you tick the box.

01 · When agencies run it

Walk inknowing the business.

Three places it does the most work for an agency. These are examples of how it gets used, not quotes from real agencies.
Example01

Before a pitch

Before you write the deck

A brand studio runs it on the prospect, from the website, the reviews and one phone call. Every gap turns into a question. The studio walks into the pitch knowing what the business sells and who buys it.

You walk in withThe questions nobody else asked.
Example02

Before a kickoff

After the yes, before the first meeting

A small agency signs a new client. The strategist fills in what the team already knows and taps Not sure yet on the rest. The kickoff agenda is the list of what’s still open.

You walk in withA kickoff built on what’s still open.
Example03

With a new client’s owner

In the room, one bucket at a time

An account lead sits down with the owner and runs it together. The owner answers in their own words. The agency hands back a client copy with the agency’s name on it.

You hand overA file with your name on it.

02 · What you walk away with

One per bucket.And a cover.

Each bucket hands back its own document the moment you finish it. The cover puts all nine on one page and says where to start.

001 · The businessFive hold up

  • 01 WhatA positioning statement in five lines, the offers side by side, and what to say when people say no.
  • 02 WhoUp to four buyer profiles, and what to say to each one.
  • 03 HowThe path from finding the business to paying it, and where it sticks.
  • 04 ExperienceThe first impression, stop by stop, with fixes smallest first.
  • 05 RetentionHow to bring customers back, with follow-up messages ready to send.

002 · The marketingFour on top, and the cover ties it together

  • 06 BrandWhere the brand drifts, and a checklist to keep it steady.
  • 07 AssetsWhat’s missing, what to make first, and the work counted in plain units.
  • 08 PresenceOne job for each channel, and what to post first.
  • 09 RecognitionWith the logo covered, what still says it’s them.
  • The coverEvery bucket on one page, each one Holding, Open or Can’t see yet, and where to start.

Each thumbnail shows the shape of a document. Every document prints or saves as a PDF.

03 · Two ways in

Whose businessis this?

You pick one at the start. The nine buckets stay the same. What changes is who the questions are about and who gets the file.
For a client or a prospectThe roomDrawing of a room of four people

A client’s business

Before a pitch or a kickoff, or with the owner in the room.

  • Every Not sure yet becomes a question for the kickoff.
  • The agency view keeps those questions for your team.
  • The client copy has your name on it, not ours.

Your Not sure buttonNot sure yet. I’d ask them.

For your own agencyThe shopDrawing of a storefront

Your own business

Run it on the agency itself.

  • Same nine buckets, asked about you.
  • Each document ends with the questions worth an honest answer.
  • No pitch at the end.

04 · How one bucket works

One answer.One line on paper.

No AI. Every rule and every line was written ahead of time and approved by a person. Same answers in, same document out.

What Acme Plumbing sells

The one sentence

We fix leaks, clear drains and put in water heaters, and we show up the day you call.

Sales messaging

The short version. We fix leaks, clear drains and put in water heaters, and we show up the day you call.

Their words, highlighted, in every place the rules say they belong. This one fills two.

Or tap Not sure yet

Same question

Not sure yet. I’d ask them.

Always an answer. It never counts against the file.

Questions for the kickoff

Every “not sure yet” became one of these. Ask them in the room.

In a sentence you’d say to a stranger at a cookout, what do you do for people?

The open line shows as a red box. The question moves to the end of the document, worded so you can ask the owner straight out. That’s the list you walk into the kickoff with.

05 · Questions

Beforeyou start.

01Is there AI in this?

No. Every rule and every line was written ahead of time and approved by a person. Same answers in, same document out. So there are no usage fees either.

02What does it cost?

Nothing. Business Buckets is free for any agency. You give us an email so we can send the file and keep your spot.

03Can we run it on a client, or a prospect?

Yes. Pick “A client’s business” at the start. You get questions for the kickoff, and a client copy with your name on it and nothing from Style Driven.

04Do we have to do all nine?

No. Each bucket hands back its own document when you finish it. Stop anytime and pick up where you left off. Start with 01 What. Everything else sits on it.

05What if we don’t know the client’s answer?

Tap Not sure yet. It never counts against the file. It turns into a question for the kickoff, at the end of that document.

06How much can we write?

As much as you want. Each typed answer shows a count and a rough target, but nothing cuts you off. Talk it out, then trim it.

07Who sees the answers?

You and your team. While the tool is new, a person at Style Driven also reads each file before it is released, to make sure it came out right.

06 · Where every file starts

Start with the offer.

Everything else sits on it. Finish 01 What and its document comes back right away. Stop anytime and pick up where you left off.

We email you when it opens. Nothing else, unless you tick the box.
